Can I retrofit the electric system to my existing Brompton?

No, our electric system requires changes to several frame components to meet stringent mechanical and electrical safety requirements for electric bicycles, this follows the latest European EN15194 standard law.

A conversion from a C Line to an Electric C Line model would require replacing most components (e.g. fork, handlebar stem, main frame etc.) and would be a substantial cost. For this reason, the Brompton Electric C Line can only be purchased as a complete bike and cannot be purchased as a conversion/retrofit kit.
