We only sell our bikes through specialist bicycle retailers, partly because we believe that there is no substitute for proper advice from one of our dealers whilst purchasing, but also because we consider it essential that our bikes are properly serviced by qualified mechanics.
The everyday maintenance needs of a Brompton are much the same as those of a conventional bike - the drivetrain will need regular cleaning and lubrication, brakes adjusting, and various components replacing as they wear and fatigue over time.
However, there are features unique to the Brompton that should be considered: the seatpost sleeve, the rear hinge bushes, and hinge pins.
Currently, we do not accept the delivery of bicycles to our factory, for servicing directly from the public, even for substantial repairs or warranty claims.
