The Brompton World and National Championships are unique races, and so come with their own unique rules. Perhaps most unusual is the dress code, which can be summarised as:
All participants, both male and female, must wear a suit jacket, collared shirt and neck tie. Shorts, three-quarter length trousers and skirts may be worn if preferred, though sports attire (e.g. Lycra shorts/leggings, tracksuit pants, etc.) is not permitted. There are no restrictions on shoe-wear. For health and safety reasons, it is an absolute condition of participation that a helmet is worn.
A full set of BWC rules can be found in the Racing section of our website.
